This charity is devoted to helping the sick and physically and mentally disabled in Ukraine.

The trustees are 4 family members with the same intent.

 

 History

 

Joy Davies (the secretary of the trust) went to Ukraine with some members of another charity in 1999, and was so moved by the plight of the children there was resolved to try and do something to help. Since that date, she has made over a dozen visits to Ukraine. Two other family members have traveled over there, Corinne Jones (nee Davies) in 2001 Geoffrey Davies in 2002.

The money raised during the year is spent as frugally, and wisely as possible to help struggling families have a little joy in their lives.

Last year Anya and her two daughters went away for 3 weeks beside the sea, with her two daughters Alona and Veronika. The two girls are 16-year-old twins, and both have cerebral palsy, amongst other things. These two girls live with very little state aid, and desperately needed a holiday.

Jenya is an 18 year old orphan struggling in the world on his own, after his Auntie made it very clear to him when he was 18 years old that they wished for him to leave their care. He moved into an apartment which desperately need furniture and renovation. In the last few years we have helped him with this problem, by buying very necessary items.
